For the adventurer and naturalist, there are tours of our Florida Backcountry, hundreds of square miles of tiny islands, mangroves and wetlands that are now a wildlife sanctuary. For land lovers, there is just as much to do. Active sports like golf and tennis, even bocce. And of course we have leisurely activities like sightseeing, whether it is a walking tour of beautiful Old Town, or a ride all over the island on the "Conch Train." It's very easy to rent a bike and tour the island at your leisure. Duval Street is a mile long extravaganza of shopping, from familiar chain stores to our homegrown shops and galleries where you will find things only available in Key West. Key West Florida stays up late, almost all night, as a matter of fact. The list may look short, but the selection certainly isn't. There are hundreds of restaurants in Key West. Many have live music from a simple tinkling piano to a reggae band. Key West has four local theaters featuring our own very talented people and actors who come here just to be in Key West and play. You can see musicals, dramas and comedies. Our movie theatre has five of the latest releases running at the same time. On Duval Street, the shops stay open late to allow the after dinner strollers to browse, explore and buy. If you like to be more active after dinner, there are a number of clubs where the music rocks until four in the morning. And of course you haven't been to Key West unless you've taken a sunset sail, listening to soft music and sipping champagne.
